Professor Babafemi ODUNSI, a lawyer, present Dean, Faculty of Law, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. His academic and professional qualifications in law include LL.B (Ife), BL (NLS), LL.M (Ife), LL.M (Toronto), PhD (Ife), Cert. [IHL] (Pretoria). His academic interests encompass Medical Jurisprudence and Health Law, Family Law, Nigerian Legal System, African Law, Indigenous African Criminology and Environmental Law. He has been a McArthur Fellow of the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto, Canada, Research Associate, Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria, South Africa, as well as a Research Fellow, Faculty of Law, University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa. He is a Founding Member of the African Proverbs and Phraseology Society.
